Optimizing skills assessment.
SkillGrader was initially developed as a collaboration between us, Marine Learning Systems, and the training and assessment experts at Carnival Corporation, a global cruise operator of over 100 vessels. The goal was to support a sophisticated competency framework and performance-related training. This required an assessment tool that could efficiently, objectively and deeply assess skills for teams and individuals, while generating performance metrics for the whole workforce.
SkillGrader was the result. The solution helped Carnival shed light on what is arguably the most important question of safety and performance: does our workforce perform their duties according to company best-practice?

About Marine Learning Systems
Marine Learning Systems provides software to support the full breadth of training and assessment in safety-critical industries, from effective knowledge transfer to live skills assessment. Our solutions support cultures of safety in operations, helping to protect personnel and capital assets from accidents.
We began as a learning software company dedicated to improving and modernizing training processes for British Columbia Ferry Services, the world's largest ferry system. While many learning management systems were available on the market, none were appropriate for a company based out on the water. We developed a training system from the ground up that addressed their specific maritime training needs. Since then, we've grown to be the LMS provider for some of the world's most prominent vessel operators and training centres.
